Sunfeast World 10K Marathon details
ABOUT THE EVENT
The Sunfeast World 10K Bangalore 2009 is the world’s most prestigious 10km run. It is ratified by the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation) & AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. It is conducted in Bangalore under the aegis of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) & the Karnataka Amateur Athletics Association (KAAA). The event presenters are Procam International, the company that is also responsible for presenting the Mumbai Marathon and the Delhi half-marathon.

CHARITY STRUCTURE
iCare participant – An individual runner who chooses to run for a charity. The runner can also opt to raise pledges for the charity. Pledges monetary contributions received from a donor.
Care Champions – Individuals who are raising a minimum of Rs. 1,00,000/- in pledges. Care Champion has to make to make an upfront payment of Rs. 10,000/- (vide cheque in the name of the selected charity).
Corporate cares – This category is for corporate participation. A company signs up by filling the Corporate Challenge Form and makes an upfront, non-refundable contribution of Rs. 1,50,000 towards a preferred charity. The corporate will be allowed to send a group of up to 30 employees to participate in the event.

Registration Start Date – Thursday, March 26th, 2009
Registration End Date – Saturday, May 9th, 2009

EVENT GRATIFICATION
Goodie Bags – Will be given to all confirmed participants along with his/her running number bib. The products in each goodie bag in total valued at Rs. 500/-.
Participation Certificate – All Open 10K Run finishers will get a Participation Certificate.
CHARITY AWARDS
Awards will be announced in the month of June/July 2009.

Kingfisher Run In Costume ( Run in Costume is open only for ‘Majja Run‘ ) – Contestants will be judged by renowned personalities. Prize categories include
- Kingfisher Sakkath Bangalorean – cash prizes for 3 individuals for their best/ creative costumes
- Kingfisher Bombaat Brigade – cash prizes for 2 groups dressed in costumes based on a theme
